Answering Multiple Calls

If a user is currently on a call and a second call rings in, simply place the first caller on hold by pressing the multi-purpose key labeled “Answer” that will appear on the screen on your handset. If you wish to place the second caller on hold and return to the first caller, simply press the multi-purpose key labeled “Swap” that appears on the screen. If you decide to the transfer either of the callers, follow the transfer process here. Once one of the two calls is transferred, the other call that is on hold will be available by pressing the multi-purpose key labeled “Resume” that appears on the screen.

Users also have the option to reject, forward or silence the second caller by pressing the multi-purpose key associated with each that will  appear on the screen once the second caller rings in. The result of each key press is noted below:

  • Reject – Sends the caller to voicemail.
  • Forward – Sends caller to alternate destination. This destination can be an internal or external recipient.
  • Silence – Call continues to ring but ringer is turned off. If no answer in silent mode, call is sent to voicemail.
